Taking a mini break...

Tomorrow I leave for a mini-vacation to help my girlfriend take a much needed break and celebrate her 40-something birthday.

So for the next six days it's all about lounging around, watching movies, drinking cocktails and sleeping late. I've been told I'm too keep the martini shaker shakin'.

I'm expecting to return with some kind of carpel tunnel injury.

Teenager Update:

My "I don't need to study, how hard can it be?" teenager failed the written portion of the driver exam...twice.

It's official, I'm an old lady...

Look, here's the deal...

My oldest is getting her driving permit today. Arg...

I'm telling you, every time the car is sitting in the driveway she's going to be nagging me to take her out driving.

Nag. nag. nag.
I'm not looking forward to it.

I realize the girl's gotta learn how to drive, but I don't want her using my car to do it in.

She can barely walk down the stairs to the kitchen without running into the wall.

And if my kid is old enough to drive...that means I'm getting old.

Now that's determination...

I got a giggle when I read this cute news story.

By now, I imagine she has a close relationship with the test administrator.

Maybe they'll throw her a party when she finally passes?

Take note, she's been failing the written portion of the exam...if/when she's passes it, I wonder which test administrator will volunteer to give her the driving portion of the exam.

Wonder if they'll draw straws for that honor (or horror), and/or clear the streets.
